The Granny House

This home was a grandma house in good condition but just needed some cosmetic updating. It had great, mature landscaping but awful pink brick. I saw the potential for a quick cosmetic makeover with little expense that would result in a great house for the neighborhood standard. On the inside I removed the blue carpet & candy-striped wall paper, retextured and came back with neutral colors on the walls & carpet. We kept the original kitchen cabinets and just dropped granite slab on top and added new appliances and tile on the backsplash and floor. The bathrooms received reglazing of the tile, changing the outdated pink tile to a neutral white. For the exterior I painted over the pink brick exterior and put on a new charcoal dimensional 30-year roof. The project took me 3 weeks to complete and I came in under budget for just $9,800 for the whole rehab. This house is located in San Antonio, Texas.
